Does it hurt when you get hit by a paintball? I've also heard people say "guns shoot bullets and markers shoot paintballs." You should feel free to use either paintball gun or paintball marker. Most seasoned paintball players prefer to use the term paintball marker.
In general, paintballs don't hurt but they do sting. Paintballs are designed to break on impact and distance has a lot to due with the impact velocity. If you get hit from a long distance shot, chances are you won't even feel it.
Does Futureball do repairs and upgrades on paintball guns?
Definitely! Our staff is knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. Troubles with your gun or air system, or looking to add modifications, let us handle it for you. What is the deal with calling your paintball gun a marker? Is it a gun or a marker?
The whole "paintball marker" vs. "paintball gun" issue stems from the negative view of guns in the mainstream media. The paintball industry tried to distance themselves from that point of view and decided to start calling paintball guns, paintball markers.
What are paintballs made of?
Paintballs are gelatin capsules containing primarily polyethylene glycol, other non-toxic and water-soluble substances, and dye. All contents of paintballs including the gelatin capsule is biodegradable and non-hazardous.
What is paintball?
It is sport based on the capture the flag/tag game we all played as kid's. Instead of tagging a player with ones hand, you tag the player with a paintball the breaks on impact on the opposing player, eliminating that player from the game.
The player fires the paintball from a paintball marker/gun and all players wear protective goggle/mask while playing.
Who is allowed to play?
Players 10 years and older may play, those under 18 years must have a waiver signed by their parent. All players must sign a waiver to play no matter there age. You can download a waiver here...
What should I bring?
We rent and can supply players with all the necessary equipment that will be needed, however we do recommend that people wear old clothes. We do rent padded suits, harness belts (holds spare ammo) and upgraded sniper guns.
We have fully stocked snack bar with a wide assortment of drinks and snacks available.
What should I NOT bring to the park?
Alcoholic beverages, weapons of any kind, air filling systems.
How many games do I get to play?
There are 2 sessions in a normal day of play, morning and afternoon. The average player plays 6-8 games per session.
Can I play both morning and afternoon sessions in one day?
Yes, if you have your own equipment there is no charge to play both sessions. If you have rental equipment then there is an additional fee, and you must notify staff for rental availability for second session.
Can I bring my own paintball marker/gun, goggles and paint? (this excludes rental players.)
You can bring all of your equipment including paint on most days the paintball park is open. We do have special events and weekday private games, where outside paint is not allowed and paint must be purchased at the park only, special events are posted on our website.
If I rent a paintball gun/marker can I bring my own paint?
If you rent a paintball gun/marker you must use only field paint, it is available for purchase at the park. Use of any other paint is not allowed for rental players at any time.
How do I make a reservation and how far in advance?
Simply give us a call at (248) 446-0772, seven days a week from 10am-10pm. We recommend that groups try to reserve 2 to 4 weeks in advance, as certain dates may book up faster than others. However, it can be done in less time depending on whether the date is already reserved and the size of your group. We pride ourselves in being able to handle and cater to any of our customers paintball needs. Give us a call!
What kind of facilities are available at the paintball park?
We have a 115 acre paintball park, plus a 5 acre camp grounds with covered areas and seating for up to 500 players. We have a large building that houses our registration, rental office and snack bar.
How many different playfields does Futureball have and can we play all of them?
There are 15 different playfields at our paintball park. They vary from wooded fields with bunkers, creeks, bridges and bases to urban fields with cars, a castle, a house and a school bus. We play up to 5 of the favorite fields in a normal session, we call it the tour of duty.
Can I come play anytime the paintball park is open?
We are open to the public all year, all players are welcome to come play no matter the size of their group. Rentals are not guaranteed without a prior reservation but we will make our best efforts to accommodate any customer or group.

If I have my own equipment do I need to make a reservation?
No, we are open to the public all year. Please check our web site or call to check hours of operation and special events.
When is the park open?
We are open to the public and private parties every weekend, but games can be reserved durning the week for private games all year. Please check web site futureball.com for seasonal hours of operation.
Do players get any instuction on how to play the game?
Yes, Players receive a game orientation before going on the playfield. Games are supervised at all times by a referee who run all the games.
What is difference between Paintball and Reball?
The only difference is Paintballs break causing a mark/splat and Reballs do not mark/splat and can be cleaned and reused. Because of this difference Reball is much cheaper to play and cleaner for the player.
What is Futureball?
Futureball is a 115 acre Oudoor Park with a 16,000 sq ft. Indoor arena, we provide paintball games to the general public, corporate, team building and law enforcement training. Futureball has retail stores, multiple internet stores and we manufacture and design paintball gear. We have been in business for 20+ years.
What Kind of clothing should I wear?
Loose fitting pants, long sleeve hoody or jacket and comfortable running shoes. No Shorts or T-shirts you want to be completly covered.
Do paintballs wash out of clothes? Will they stain?
Yes, paintballs do wash out of clothes easily. No Paintballs normally do not stain as long as the clothing is washed in reasonable amount of time.
What should I wear to play at the indoor park?
Normal street clothes are fine, we recommend hoodies, loose fitting jeans normal tennis shoes.
